Sports participation teaches our children many lessons. We encourage our children to be active and engage in sport activities to be healthy and to learn lessons which may be applied in our lives.
The North Attleboro HS track coach recently told the state athletic authority (MIAA) that they had in fact calculated incorrectly and the North Attleboro team did not finish in first place but third place due to a recording error. Yes, these kids will most likely be unhappy that they did not win, but they have learned a great lesson as shown to them by their coach. Often life does not seem fair, and sometimes that unfairness can be corrected by our actions.
